   7. Enter your city/town: Jinja

   8. Enter your district name ( see State/Province); eg. Jinja

   9. Enter your box number so that it makes 6 digits: eg 001234

   10. Enter your tel/mobile number: eg. 0414-123456

   11. Complete the form by clicking on the “Register Now” button

3. Confirmation of Registration

   Nakasero.com will send a confirmation email to your email address. Please check your spambox as the reply may get sent there. In the email, there is a link such as http://www.nakasero.com/act3/confirm.php?id=xx Click on this link and when you reach Nakasero.com, click on the button “Confirm Registration”.

4. Login

   1. Using your username and password (see confirmation email), login to Nakasero.com

In the “User Login”, enter your Username and Password

Click on the menu item “Sell an Item”.

Select a category and then a sub-category (the second selection box on the right).

A third button appears at the bottom with the label “Select Category”. Click on this button.

Enter a short and precise item title; eg. Office Desk

Enter a description of item in the larger entry box; eg “This desk is made out of pine and has two drawers.”

(Optional)If you have a picture of the item, use graphic software such as: Photoshop(tm) or Corel Photo-Paint(tm) to create a low resolution (<75dpi) and size (<120x120pixels) photo of the item of either .jpg or .gif file type and put it on your desktop.

(Optional) Using the button “browse”, a select your low resolution and sized photo.

Leave the auction type at the default selection: “standard auction”.

Select the number of items for sale; the default is “1”.

Type in a low shilling value (no commas) in the entry box, labeled “Auction starts with”; eg 20000

(Optional) For the reserve price, click on the button hole “yes” and type in the shilling price for which is the minimum that you are willing to sell the item; eg 50000

(Optional) For the “Buy Now”, click on the button hole “yes” and type in the shilling price for which you are immediately willing to sell. eg.100000

Leave the bid increment as the default: “Use the built-in proportional increments table “.

Leave the starting date as the default: current day and time.

Select the duration of your auction to your desired time; from 1 day or a time up to 1 month. Tip: long set periods can delay interest in your auction, we suggest one week maximum.

Enter your post box number (in the box ZIP/Post code) such that it has six digits; eg for “P.O. Box 1234”, enter this figures “001234” - without the quotes.

For payment method, click on the box “Cash Sale”.

(Optional) Suggest to Nakasero.com to create other categories by typing in the categories that you think are missing in the current selection.

Last step, click on the bottom button labeled “Submit Auction”.

Your auction details with be shown to you. If satisfied, click on the button labeled “Submit Auction”. If not satisfied, click on the words typed in bold “Make changes” to return to the auction editing mode.

After successfully submitting your listing, Nakasero.com will send you a confirmation email.

In the “User Login”, enter your Username and Password

Under a Category/SubCategory, you identify an item that you wish to make a bid – click on that item

In the items details, the number of bids is given plus other bid information. To place a bid, it must be higher then the last bid and hence the minimum bid will show a higher figure. Enter that figure (eg. 8000 – no commas) or a higher one to complete the bid.

Nakasero.com will email you a notification of your bid. It will also notify you when you bid has been surpassed.
